Printed Textiles from Kinngait Studios 1950-1969

Scarves from original prints from a group of inuit artists and. printmakers who produced bold graphic textiles in Kinngait, Nunavut in the 1950s and 60s. These printed images preserve the legends, stories, and way of life from a this time.

Inunoo  is pleased to offer these three patterns to the public. The Textile Museum of Canada has an on going exhibition of the early textiles and also has for sale the same scarves.
