Sharni Pootoogook (Sharnee) (1922– 2003) Gosling
Sharni Pootoogook was born in Kinngait in 1922. Sharni was introduced to graphic arts and printmaking when the Kinngait printmaking program was established in the late 1950s. Her work quickly gained attention, and was included in the Cape Dorset 1964/1965 and 1966 annual print collections.
